Lamborghini, the manufacturer of premium sports cars, has finally driven in the long-awaited Aventador LP700-4 to India with a price tag that reads an expensive Rs. 3.69 Crores.
Off late, there has been an increasing demand for luxury sports cars in India, particularly after the Indian Grand Prix race; this is just the beginning. James Page, Marketing Manager, Lamborghini SpA, Pacific and South East Asia has stated that they have already received 20 orders for this new sports car; the time for the delivery is supposed to be 18 months as of now.
The global launch of LP700-4 was held in March, 2011 and around 1500 bookings have been recorded till now. On its expansion plans in India, Page said that they were intending to sell 20 extra cars in the country annually, in addition to the 100+ cars that were sold earlier. This luxury brand is also planning to conduct an owner training course on the F1 race track in India; earlier this program was held in Europe.
Aventador LP700-4 is equipped with a brawny 6.5 liter V12 engine, capable of churning out a maximum power of 700 Bhp, while having the ability to reach a top speed of 350 kmph. This sports car is designed to be extremely light in weight, thanks to the usage of carbon material in its construction as in the case of Boeing 787 Dreamliner.
The new car is exhibited at their only Lamborghini sales outlet- Exclusive Motors in New Delhi.
